How to Screen Record on iPhone With Microphone Voice and Audio.

Tested on: iOS 18.4.1, iPhone 16 Pro Max (Titanium Black, 256GB, Global Model A3296 – MYWV3ZD/A)

Step 1: Add Screen Recording to Control Center

First, make sure the Screen Recording shortcut is in your Control Center. If it’s not there already, here’s how to add it:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Control Center.
  3. Scroll down to More Controls and find Screen Recording.
  4. Tap the green + button next to it to add it.

Now, when you swipe down from the top-right corner (or up from the bottom on older models), you’ll see the Screen Recording button.

Step 2: Enable Microphone Audio Before Recording

This is the key step most people miss! If you want to record your voice or external sounds, you must enable the microphone before starting the recording.

Here’s how:

  1. Open Control Center (swipe down from the top-right corner).
  2. Press and hold the Screen Recording button (the circle icon).
  3. Tap the Microphone button at the bottom to turn it ON (it will turn red).
  4. Tap Start Recording.

A 3-second countdown will begin, and then your screen recording starts with audio!

Step 3: Stop and Save Your Recording

When you’re done:

  1. Tap the red status bar at the top of your screen.
  2. Select Stop to end the recording.

Your video will automatically save to your Photos app.

Step 4: Edit or Share Your Recording

Want to trim or share your screen recording?

  1. Open the Photos app.
  2. Find your recording and tap it.
  3. Tap Edit to trim the start or end.
  4. Tap Done to save changes.
  5. Tap the Share button to send it anywhere.

And that’s it! Now you can record your iPhone screen with audio. This is perfect for tutorials or gameplay clips.
