How to Set Up Face ID
Follow these steps to enable Face ID on your iPhone:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Scroll down and tap Face ID & Passcode
- Enter your passcode when prompted
- Tap Set Up Face ID
- Position your face in the frame and move your head slowly to complete the circle
- Complete the second scan when prompted
- Tap Done to finish setup
How to Unlock Your iPhone with Face ID
Once set up, using Face ID is simple:
- Wake your iPhone by tapping the screen or raising it
- Look at your phone (no need to swipe up)
- The lock icon will open when Face ID recognizes you
- Swipe up from the bottom to go to your home screen
How to Improve Face ID Accuracy
If Face ID isn’t working well:
- Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode
- Tap Set Up an Alternate Appearance
