You can disconnect from Voice Chat and like that you will not be able to speak into the microphone and be heard by other players and you also don’t hear other players while playing.
Windows 11 Microphone Access
If you want to make sure the microphone can’t be used at all by Roblox, you can use the Windows 11 System Privacy settings – Microphone to control of apps have access to your microphone at all.
If you restrict the microphone access, other apps might not be able to use the microphone but like this you are 100% sure the microphone stays off.
In Roblox games it’s easy to click the microphone icon and enable the microphone by mistake.
Enable by Mistake
If you enable the microphone by mistake and the microphone is restricted, you see the microphone icon turn green but no signal moving up and down and other players will not hear anything.
Normally when the microphone is on in Roblox experiences, you see the microphone turn green with a small red dot and the level indicator moving as you speak to confirm good signal.
When the chat is disconnected, there is no microphone icon and when the chat is connected and microphone is muted, you see the microphone with a red line crossed to show you the microphone is off.
