How to Set Google Gemini as Default Assistant
Follow these steps to make Gemini your main voice assistant:
- Download Google Gemini from the Play Store
- Open Settings on your Samsung phone
- Go to Apps then Default apps
- Select Digital assistant app
- Choose Google Gemini instead of Bixby
How to Use Both Assistants
If you want to keep Bixby while adding Gemini:
- Assign Gemini to a quick action button:
- Go to Settings > Advanced Features > Side Key
- Set Double press to open Gemini
- Keep Bixby assigned to Press and hold
- Now you can access both assistants easily
How to Disable Bixby Completely
If you prefer to remove Bixby:
- Go to Settings > Apps
- Find and select Bixby Voice or Bixby
- Tap Disable (if available)
- Confirm your choice
Note: Some Samsung features may not work properly without Bixby
