At the top of the screen you can chose 2 value types, they must not be the same.
Chose from Voltage, Current, Resistance and Power.
By default the lists are predefined to Voltage and Current but you can change these at any time without having to reset any values.
Enter the values in the units you selected in the input boxes below.
Once you have both input boxes filled the rest of the Voltage, Current, Resistance and Power calculations are updated automatically.

Keep water bottle cold in the sun or keep water ice cold in the sun summer life hacks. This is part of the series called cool water summer life hacks.
You can keep water cold in the summer during your day at the beach using a T-Shirt- life hack experiment.
How to have cool water at the beach in the summer without a cooler bag and without cooler bag ice packs?
A simple DIY lifehack trick that will allow you to keep water frozen for longer.
We test in the experiment video bellow 3 water bottles to see which water bottle stays frozen longer.

To keep water ice cold in the sun you can use plastic water bottles. Do not use glass bottles for this life hack trick.
Remove some water from the plastic water bottle, one small glass of water is enough.
Preparation
Keep water bottle cold in the sun
Slightly squeeze the water bottle then tighten the cap to keep the water bottle a bit deflated.

Place the water bottle or multiple water bottles in the freezer overnight or for a few hours to cool down as much as possible.
Place water bottle in the freezer overnight
If the water freezes inside the bottles it’s ok, it will last even longer.

Prepare water bottle to keep cold all day
Keep water cold with a towel or t-shirt by wrapping the bottles individually or together in a beach towel or multiple t-shirts.
Before wrapping the water bottle in a t-shirt, place the water bottle in a plastic bag to prevent condensation from the cooling bottle to moisten the T-shirt and speed-up the warming time of the bottle.

Like this, it keeps the t-shirt usable at the end of the day you have a (literally) fresh t-shirt ready to wear.
This is an old time fishing trick and we used to wrap water bottles in newspaper to keep water cool while being outside for a long time.
There are not many newspapers these days and a t-shirt works great but a towel works even better.

The idea is to create an insulation layer between the cold water bottle and the hot exterior.
This will keep the cold in and keep the heat out.

The frozen water in the bottles will keep everything cool while you are going outside.

It can keep your water cold for a whole day if the water was previously frozen as the ice will melt slowly as the bottle stays in the sun.

How to clean a PC keyboard
PC keyboards can gather dust and food particles under the keys easily and in time, you can have a lot of dirt under the computer keys.
Watch in rhe video how to remove the keyboard keys and wash them.
Cleaning the dirt between the keys and reinstalling all keys back in the keyboard.
Had to clean the keyboard because the keys became harder to press and the keyboard was full of dust in the space between the keys.
The keyboard shown is a Logitech G19 and I really like it. Have been using it for at least 6 years and it’s a great keyboard.
Before removing keys
Before removing the keys take a few pictures with your phone of the whole keyboard and with separate sections closer.
You will use these pictures later to know how to reassemble they keys and not the the keys mixed later during reassembly.
Remove PC Keyboard Keys
Use 2 spudger tools to remove the key caps or scissors or ideally a dedicated tool for removing PC keyboard keys.

Wash the keys
Remove any metal parts from enter key or spacebar key.
Place all the plastic keys in a plastic bottle. Any bittle will work fine but a larger opening bottle will be easier to fit the keys in.
Put some dishwashing soap same as if you were washing a few plated.
Close the bottle and agitate the keys inside until you see the water color turns a bit dark.
PC Keyboard Keys Caps Washing
The darker the water, the more dirt is removed from the keys.
You can let the keys sit in the bottle 1 hour and then shave the bottle again to clean the keys more.
Rinse and dry keys
Rinse keys with fresh clean tap water and place the clean keys on a towel.
Use a paper towel to wipe and remove water faster.
Clean PC Keyboard Key Caps
Let the keys sit until completely dry. Idally you should wipe most water with paper towels and then let the keys sit in the sun for 30 min to 1 hour.
Vacuuming PC Keyboard
Vacuum the PC keyboard when all keys are removed using a gentle brush vacuum head or no brush head at all.

After vacuuming, use a wet wipe to clean the space between the keys.
Reassemble Keys on PC Keyboard
PC Keyboard and keys are all clean and dry, it’s time to reassemble everything together.
Reinstall any metal rods or pieces on the keys.
Place all the keys on a towel in rhe correct layout as it was in the pictures you took earlier.
PC Keyboard Key Caps Removed Cleaned
Starting from left to right, insert keys one by one and press the newly inserted key to make sure it works normally.
Take extra care to insert the metal rods of the space or enter keys in the slots where they sit to act as a stabilizer for large keys.
Once all keys are back in place press all keys one by one again to make sure they work and slide normally without any unusual resistance.
Keyboard is ready to use, enjoy it!

How to remove stains from clothes especially white t-shirt stains.
Using Evrika cholthes whitener without bleach. Active ingredient is Sodium Percarbonate.

Remove stains from clothes
The oxygen-based bleaching agent works well but it did not remove the stains from my T-shirt.
What worked like magic was the stain removal stick from Meine Leibe.
Dr. Beckmann would work too.
All I had to do was put hot water on the stain then use the stain remover stick on the area and let it sit 5-10 minutes.
You will notice the stick forms foam around rhe area applied.
After, wash rhe t-shirt as normal in washing machine or by hand.

How to use a digital multimeter for measuring electronics circuits at home or in the car.

How to use a digital multimeter
Volt meter function
To measure DC voltage, set the multimeter dial to Continuous line V symbol and choose with the dial the maximum value measured and precision.
For example, to measure continuous current 12 Volt, set the voltmeter dial to 20V DC.
Insert the back of the black probe into Com / black port on the multimeter and the red probe into the red multimeter terminal marked with V and continuous line for DC.
How to measure voltage
You touch the red probe to the positive terminal and black probe to the negative terminal.
What voltage to measure
You can measure the voltage of your car battery before crank, during crank voltage drop and while the alternator is running.
Measure rechargeable batteries with the 2V option or the battery tester mode set to in 1.5V.
Resistance ohm meter function
To measure resistance, the red probe must be moved to the resistance measuring port.
The resistance meter function tests the value of the resistance between 2 points in Ohms.
How to measure resistance
To measure resistance in ohms, you place the probes at the 2 points you want to measure how much resistance is between them.
What to measure resistance on
You can check the resistance in Ohms of a resistor component, a diode, measuring a cable resistance at both ends.
You can also use the continuity tester function that beeps when the probles touch eachother and also beeps if 2 points in a circuit or cable are connected to eachother.
DC Current measuring function
To measure DC current, the red probe must be moved to the current measuring port.
The multimeter has fuses that can be blown if you put too much current thru the multimeter by mistake. Fuses can be replaced easily.
How to measure current
Set to measure DC current at a milliamps value that matches your needs. If you need to measure amperes, you have to use the 10A function.
The probles go in series in the circuit. When you comnect the probes, the circuit is closed otherwise the circuit is open and no current flows until you connect both probes in the circuit.
What to measure current on
You can troubleshoot electronics boards power usage as finding the ma / milliamps or amps value and the voltage you can use Ohms law to calculate the power used in Wats.
Ohm’s Law Formulas
Voltage, resistance, power and current are linked together and by knowing 2 you can find the third value using the simple Ohm’s law formulas.
How to find Voltage from Resistence Current or Power
V or E is voltage or energy it’s usually called E, I guess I like V more so I call it V measured in Volts. Note sqrt reffers to the Square Root function.

How to find Power from Resistence Current or Voltage
P is for power measured in watts.

P = I^2 x R
P = V^2 / R

How to find Current from Resistence, Power or Voltage
I is for cureent measured in Amps or Amperes, don’t ask me why it’s symbol is I.

I = sqrt( P / R)
```
How to find Resistence from Current, Power or Voltage
R is for reaistance and it is measured in ohms Ω symbol.

R = V / I
R = V^2 / P
R = P / I^2
```
Diode tester function
You can test diodes with the multimeter diode test function usually you find this at the 2k ohms on the multimeter dial.
How to measure a Diode or LED
Place the probes at both ends of a diode or LED module and measure the resistance.
The diode should allow current flow in one way but block the flow of cureent in the opposite direction.
Also in this mode if you test a LED module, the LED will start working dimly so you know the led tested works.
AC high voltage warning
It’s best not to use the AC high voltage test modes as this can be dangerous. That is made to check rhe voltage of your power sockets on the wall. If you have power supply problems, get an UPS or an extension with built in over voltage protection.

Natural light is ideal, wost is mixed natural + artificial.
Once in a while get up walk around and look out the window somewhere far.
Get your eyesight checked and wear glasses if you need.
Drink water from a small reusable container. Make frequent trips to the water cooler.
Most important, in Windows 11 enable reading mode / night light. It reduces the blue light from the PC monitor. Makes pages a bit warmer in color – yellow but it makes a big difference.
Set any programs you can to Dark theme.

There are a few simple steps to follow for saving electricity and reducing power consumption.
Other than installing photovoltaic solar panels at home to reduce the cost of electricity in your home there are steps you could follow to reduce your power consumption.

How to save electricity at home
Fridge freezer temperature control
Adjust fridge freezer temperature settings
Change the fridge temperature control to a setting from 1 to 5. On 5 the fridge uses more power to cool down the food more and at 1 it uses the least electricity and it will result in an increase of temperature in the fridge.
A good setting is 3 for the fridge but you can try to reduce power consumption of the fridge further by changing the fridge temperature control to the number 2.
The freezer also has a temperature control setting and you should keep it at normal or between lowest and normal instead of the maximum setting for the freezer.
Use a freezer thermometer to be sure your freezer has a temperature of -15 degrees Celsius instead of -25.
Turn off the lights

Turn off the lights you don’t use and during the day, open the curtains and use natural sunlight instead of light bulbs. The sun light is much better and it’s free.
Replace CFL light with modern LED light bulbs

Do not use any incandescent light bulbs at all.

Set your central heating system thermostat to 19 degrees Celsius or 20 degrees in the winter to consuming less energy to heat your home.

For cooling use a fan on low speed instead of the air conditioners or aircon, A/C and use the aircon only on the hottest days or during the night.

Washing machine should be loaded to full capacity but not overloaded.
Use the temperature control setting to 0 degrees Celsius or 30 degrees Celsius to reduce power consumption from the washing machine.

Keep the fridge full at all time when in use.
A full fridge keeps cool with less electricity consumption than an empty fridge. More food in the fridge increase the thermal mass and the fridge environment will not warm up so much when you open the fridge door.
If you travel, empty the fridge, turn it off and keep fridge freezer doors open to avoid mold growth.
Water pressure pump
If you have a pressure pump and a direct tap drinking water faucet, use the drinking water faucet for washing food instead of pressure pump.

It will keep the pump off and you can reduce the water consumption too. Drinking water here refers to a direct utility supply not a reverse osmosis filter system. If you have a reverse osmosis filtration system, use that only for drinking water.

On hot summer days, if you must be in the sun, wear a hat.
Sun hats with UV protection
Even better wear a sun hat with UV blocking protection material.
A sun hat is designed to have a wide brim to act as a personal umbrella for your head.
The wider the sun hat brim the better.
Hats cooling hack
On exceptionally hot summer days, wearing a hat can reduce the ventilation capacity of your head. The hat can make it feel even hotter especially if it’s not a hat with air vents for cooling.
This is where the this hack or trick comes into play. When you wear a hat and it’s hot, pour water on your hat.
Soak the hat in water – clean water and then put the hat on your head.
As the water evaporates, it cools your head rapidly and you get an instant cooling feeling good.
WARNING! This should be done only on hot summer days and not when you might feel too cold and especially never do this if the temperature is bellow 30 degrees celsius.
You might get sick, if you feel too cold, remove the hat and let it dry.
Using a towel
Any hat can be used for this trick but you could even not use a hat at all.
Use a towel, wet the towel and place it on your head to feel better instantly in the sun.
T-shirts work too
You can use a t-shirt
Soak the t-shirt in water and wear it on your head as a hat.

Pump not starting humming or buzzing
The pump works less and eventually it can even stop working completely.
The auto pump control works and tries to start the water pump motor but the motor makes a humming noise or buzzing noise and the motor is not spinning not working.
If the motor is humming stop the power immediately and follow the steps in the video to prevent motor coil damage and having to replace the whole pump.
