Minimum Tools and Parts:

  • Replacement battery compatible with iPad Air (A1475, A1474, or A1476)
  • Precision screwdriver set
  • Screen opening tools
  • B7000 adhesive for securing the screen
  • New digitizer if the current one is damaged

Step-by-Step Battery Replacement Process

  1. Power down your iPad
  2. Heat the edges to soften the adhesive
  3. Carefully separate the digitizer as you see in the video using opening tools
  4. Unscrew the 4 screws seen in the video and lift the lcd Display.
  5. Disconnect the battery without removing the iPad board using my plastic or playing card trick then carefully pull the battery out. Take your time as the battery has glue strips that will give if you don’t apply too much pressure.
  6. Install the new battery in the exact same position
  7. Reconnect everything and test before sealing
  8. Apply new adhesive and carefully reseal the screen

  • Original battery model: A1484
  • Works for iPad Air models: A1475, A1474, and A1476
  • Third-party batteries might not match original performance but usually work well
