Full resolution vs High resolution.

Theft Detection Lock

The new Theft Detection Lock uses AI to keep your data safe. If your phone detects someone has grabbed it and is trying to run, bike or drive away, it will automatically lock your device. You can also use Remote Lock to quickly lock your device from any device using your phone number and a simple security check.

Android 15 brings additional protections that prevent thieves from guessing your passwords and accessing sensitive information. Authentication requirements for settings targeted by thieves, like removing your SIM or turning off Find My Device will lock down your device if we sense multiple failed attempts for apps and settings.

Conclusion

Android 15 brought us some cool sounding Audio Sharing mode that doesn’t work yet with the best ANC headphones that Sony sells at the moment. I’m sure the next headphones will support Bluetooth LE for this mode for audio sharing.

We got the private space that will show anyone you have private space enabled causing more questions even if you’re not hiding anything.

We got the strange Quick Settings menu with words being cut off and having to do extra taps to toggle Bluetooth and Wifi / 5G. I don’t like doing extra taps but I guess the square tiles are ok…

On Xperia 1V the Full Resolution 4K display mode would be the best option we got but as you saw in the display magnifying glass comparison video, there is no visible difference. Maybe it’s not working.

Since enabling the 4K full resolution I also enabled 120 Hz display refresh rate and it’s really much better to look at 120Hz instead of 60Hz.

The 120, Hz toggle was there before and I did try it but turned it of at some point to save battery.

With 4K Full Resolution and 120 Hz on I don’t notice any major difference in battery life so I’ll keep them on.
